How to play Visual Memory

A round of Visual Memory at AWTKANAPOLI begins with understanding the objective. Select every square that was shown. Selecting an unshown square ends the session. The learning focus here is rules before speed, supported by the rule notes below.

Rules before speed

Work slowly for one round. Explain the rule behind each choice before trying to improve your score or completion time.

Your goal

Select every square that was shown. Selecting an unshown square ends the session.

Step by step

  1. Start a round and watch the highlighted cells.
  2. Wait until the board hides the pattern.
  3. Select the positions you remember; order does not matter.
  4. Complete the pattern to advance.

Controls

Use the on-screen controls with a mouse or touch.

A useful example

If the four corner squares were shown, select those four corners in any order.
